Lady Gaga took on the catwalk the her debut track the industrial-pop-inflected “Government Hooker”  at today’s Thierry Mugler A/W2011 Women’s Pret-A-Porter show at Paris Fashion Week. ( Born This Way album)

Lady Gaga’s was completely at home on that stage- but was there flicker of doubt?  Gaga was the musical director for the event and supermodel extraordinaire.  In January, she debuted another Born This Way song, “Scheiße,” at a separate Mugler show.

This video is an update- Google removed the original one due to nudity-

It doen’t have Gaga performing- or her song- but you can see the clothes.

In Gaga fashion, she made an entrance-  just appears, out of the shadows, puffing on a cigarette in  black latex skirt, see-through blouse, black bra, and the best pigtails ever under beret!  For her second “look” she wore a white-hot look with a hat that would make all Sunday Church ladies jealous.  And let’s not forget her spiky red hot nails.

Her new song, an instant club fav, you can already picture it can’t you?  was a perfect backdrop to the fashion.  I think Gaga has set yet ANOTHER trend- a high profile performer to make your debut collection stand out more. It’s all so irresistible.

“I’m gonna drink my tears tonight/I’m gonna drink my tears and cry/‘Cause I know you love me, baby”

Thierry Mugler clothes, I loved it, well what I saw.  I liked the fitted skirts contrasting with the big shoulders.  The camera angles were shifting too fast for me to see every piece.  I a little conflicted about the fur shrugs.  I am, however, really excited about the ankle length stretchy fitted skirts and sheer fabrics.

I did love the way the model were showing a version of the classic ponytail.  In the first set I loved the contrast of the black fringe on the blond models;  and the Blond fringe on the second set.  All the ponytails were flat-ironed and shine-spray to look like glass.

Praise the Lady Gaga and Thierry Mugler
